PS Belio Kipsang has recalled all Form One admission letters.
The Education ministry has directed schools which have offered Form One admission letters outside the National Education Management Information System (Nemis) to urgently recall them.
“Any school that may have offered admission to students outside Nemis should urgently recall those joining instructions,” the circular dated January 2 read in part
Kipsang maintained that all placements and admissions must be done through the education admission System called Nemis and that no school should issue any admission outside it.
“If there is any school that has been issuing letters directly, we want to say that they will not be valid for admission. The online approved letters will be activated during admission of students,” the PS stated.
He warned that any letter issued by any school save for sub-county and private schools will not be valid for admission.
He directed regional coordinators of education and county education officers to register in Nemis in order to perform approval of admissions and other tasks assigned to their offices.
“You are reminded that at the close of the reporting day of January 11, 2019, a report on all admissions will be generated for necessary action. Principals should be aware that only Form One students admitted through Nemis will be provided Government capitation,” Kipsang maintained.
