HOW TO TEST PREGNANCY USING SALT AND URINE
This is a simple guide on how you can test for pregnancy using salt and urine. Most ladies will agree with me that going to the hospital or visiting a doctor to test for pregnancy may quite be a difficult thing to do, this is due to curiosity and nervousness. It is a matter that requires absolute privacy and courage. Well, you don’t need to bother yourself visiting a clinic to perform such tests. There is one simple home test that you can perform using just salt and urine. It is a quick and affordable method of testing for pregnancy.
Just as a reminder, it is important that you perform pregnancy tests a week after you have missed your periods, for the purposes of getting the most accurate results. One week is enough to enable your body to produce the HCG hormone which will be present in your urine if you are pregnant. You should also not drink a lot of water before performing the pregnancy test because your urine might become diluted thus fail to get the accurate results.
Here is a simple guide on how you can perform a pregnancy test using just salt and urine.
You will require the following;
- A transparent glass or container to take a sample of urine
- A small amount of salt (about two pinches)
Procedure
- Using a transparent glass or container, take a fresh sample of urine, preferably your first urine of the day in the morning.
- Add a small quantity of salt to the sample of urine
- Stir the urine sample to dissolve the salt
- Leave the solution intact for some time( about five minutes) and observe the changes.
If you observe a milky and cheesy solution, or if a milk cheese like colour/ foam is formed, then this is an indication that you are pregnant.
If there is no change in the urine or the urine retains its colour, then it is an indication that you are not pregnant.
N/B
You should note that this test may not be 100 percent effective. It is just a simple home test that indicates possibilities of pregnancy. If you doubt yourself you can visit a health facility for examination to finally confirm whether you are pregnant or not.
